Small Business Session with Maggy Keet of Planetarian Life | Bucks County, PA

My interest in the environment started way back in elementary school. Lessons on water conservation, anti-littering campaigns, and rallies to save the rainforest left a lasting impact on me. Today, confronted with the realities of climate change, there has been a much needed push in our society for healthier living and a more sustainable way of life. But few people I’ve met have believed in this cause more passionately than Maggy Keet.

Maggy is a wife, mother, daughter, cookbook author and all around healthy living advocate. When she first contacted me to tell me about her new venture, Planetarian Life, I was immediately on board. According to Maggy, “Planetarian Life inspires people to eat responsibly and sustainably by sharing irresistible, accessible, and affordable plant-based recipes that are good for the health of the planet and our bodies.” What’s not to love about that?

I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with her and her family at her parent’s home in Riegelsville, PA, where I got to learn even more about Maggy, and her passion for sharing her environmental activism with others.

Maggy cites her family as one of her biggest inspirations. As a mother myself, I admire her determination to leave a better world for her children.

Maggy found there were so many people that were totally on board with the idea of changing their diets, both for their own health and the good of the planet. But often, they didn’t know how to start, or were concerned that a plant based diet would never taste as good as the meat based diets they were accustomed to. This lead her to create a concept she calls “The Capsule Kitchen”.

The concept is simple, and brilliant. By keeping a well stocked pantry, and combining it with basic techniques and simple, versatile recipes, you can mix and match elements to create a delicious meal, anytime. An easy way to put healthy meals on the table, all while saving time, money, AND the planet? Sign me up.

Maggy often collaborates with her mom, Pam Anderson, to develop these delicious recipes. Pam is a culinary expert and author of several cookbooks, including the New York Times bestseller “How To Cook Without A Book”. Combined with Maggy’s passion and years of experience with plant based home cooking, these two are the dream team of creating recipes for sustainable dishes you can’t wait to eat.

I love working with small business owners, especially when they’re strong women making a difference in this world, and Maggy definitely fits into that category. If you’d like to learn more about her, and get some great recipes, head on over to Planetarian Life and check it out!
