Afternoon in the Life: The Ryan Family | Rutherford, NJ | Documentary Family Photography

This session was a special one for me, since I've known John and Colleen since we were all college aged. I had such a great time with them and their almost two year old son, Quint.

Quint is super easygoing, fascinated by vehicles, and smart as a whip. When I first arrived, he graciously gave me a tour of their lovely 1920's home.

Afterwards we took a walk through their neighborhood, which is loaded with historic charm. I have a serious love for old houses, I could have spent all afternoon just walking around and admiring the architecture!

Our next stop was a park right near the center of town, where Quint had a blast playing with mom and dad.

We then headed over to the local farmer's market to pick up some fresh fruits and veggies, followed by a quick iced coffee run at a local cafe.

It was a wonderful day, and I'm so glad The Ryans welcomed me to document their lives for the afternoon. I hope we get to do it again sometime!
