Jen Grima

Storytelling Photographer

I use my camera as a way of peeking into the lives of others, just for an instant. Ultimately, my goal is to tell the story of that moment. A moment that may otherwise go unnoticed and lost in time forever.

I was lucky enough to spend the first 33 years of my life in New York City, a place made up of different cultures, languages, races, and ethnicities - a true epicenter of diversity. I will be forever drawn to the energy of city life, the people there, and the universal things that connect us - no matter where we’re from, or what language we speak. Through my work, I look forward to exploring new locations, in an effort to show that although we all have our differences, humanity is something that we all have in common.

Jen Grima is a documentary photographer based in Lehigh Valley, PA. A native of New York City, she began her career as a street photographer, with a focus on families and children. She eventually began shooting family portraits in this same style, emphasizing authenticity and storytelling within the family unit.

Jen is an avid reader, an interior design geek, and prefers tea to coffee. She lives at home with her husband and two daughters, and spends her days looking for the beauty in the everyday moments.
